Hard-partying Lindsay Lohan has checked herself into a rehab clinic, her publicist has confirmed. Lohan's spokesperson said in a statement: "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day."

"Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility." The news comes after a week of heavy partying in which the 20-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence after losing control of her car near her home in California.
