Tummy tumour

This woman is set to have surgery to remove an estimated 110 pound (50kg) tumour in her abdomen. Chen Huanxiang has been carrying the growth for five years. The 39-year-old was forced to endure the tumour for so long because she could not afford removal surgery. But surgeons in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, have offered to perform the operation for free. A tumour is an abnormal growth of tissue in the body. It can be either malignant or benign. Malignant tumours are cancerous, which means they can invade and destroy neighbouring tissue. Benign tumours do not invade neighbouring tissues but may grow to a great size.
